Summary Carbon Footprint Report
This is a summary of the Carbon Inventory and subsequent Footprint Report produced on behalf Diagnostics for the Real World (Europe) Ltd by Auditel for the reporting period 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2025. The inventory work and reporting were carried out in line with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. Scope 3: 1034.6 tCO2e
Total: 1167.52 tCO2e
Current Emissions Reporting
Scope 1: 13.49 tCO2e

Scope 3: 118.8 tCO2e
Total: 156.88 tCO2e
Emissions Reduction Targets
In our 2021 baseline Carbon Reduction Plan, we projected that our carbon emissions would decrease to 800 tCO2e by the year to 31st December 2026, a reduction of 31.5%. Our carbon emissions have actually decreased to 156.88 tCO2e in the year to 31st December 2025, a reduction of 86.5% but this is largely due to a reduction in turnover which has also impacted our intensity ratio. The SAMBA III system is a more efficient platform and generates less plastic waste per test than the old SAMBA II system.
This feature will lead to longer-term improvements in environmental performance.
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
A number of initiatives have been completed which have contributed towards a decrease in our carbon emissions:
- Our workforce has been reduced in size in order to retain business efficiency in line with reduced sales revenue.
- We have reduced the number of vehicles we own and operate in line with the reduced number of weekly shipments.
- We have reduced the amount of lab and office space we lease in line with reduced activity. We discussed with our landlord the possibility of purchasing green electricity and gas but this is not a viable option at the moment.
Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives
In the future, we hope to carry out initiatives to encourage our workforce to consider more sustainable transport options, including moving to public transport where possible, changing from petrol/ diesel to electric cars, car-sharing, etc.
We are also considering whether there are opportunities to on-shore or near-shore additional elements of the supply chain which has the potential to deliver significant carbon reductions in relation to upstream transportation and in relation to business travel.
